30 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
In this class we will be discussing a new dog breed each week. I will rotate through the 7 main groups of dogs (Herding, Sporting, Non-Sporting, Working, Hounds, Terriers, and Toy breeds). We will view pictures and videos to learn how they look and behave. We will have class discussions about what we learn, what we like or dislike, and if we thought this breed would be a good fit for our family. Students do not need to have any previous knowledge of dogs, they just need to have a love for them.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, I am a school librarian with over 17 years of teaching experience. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Library Science. I love integrating technology and project based learning activities into my lessons. I believe students learn best when they are active participants in their learning and they are activating their passions. I offer classes in all 4 core subject areas with an emphasis in research and integration.
I am a mom of 3 children and an animal lover. I have 2 cats and 3 dogs! I would happily have more if the city ordinance allowed for it. I look forward to meeting you in class and learning what it is that you love most!
