Class Experience
Students will learn general knowledge about some of Japan's most iconic food that I have personally tried. The topics that will be covered are general info/culture and of course photos of Japanese food with a video here and there as well. Students will improve their understanding of other cultures/food and open their mind to always pursuing to find out more about our wonderful world and the people in it. Plus practice chopstick skills.
Being a world traveler, Japan is one of the many beautiful countries that I have been lucky enough to have visited multiple times. I have done extensive research of Japan as I was going to live there while teaching ESL in local schools. Covid-19 kept me from doing that for now, but I have studied for many years about the culture as it was going to be my new home and have witnessed the culture first hand in my many trips to the country.
Paper/pencil if students want to take notes. Chopsticks or even some pencils/pens to practice chopstick skills. If you want to go a step further maybe a small snack that can easily be picked up and eaten. (popcorn, cereal no milk, etc.)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
