Class Experience
In these sessions, we will discuss favorite foods and foods that we dislike. We will talk about why we like some foods but not others. We will explore ways to try dislikable foods as well as trying new foods through a variety of sensory explorations with these foods. We will also learn about the nutritious benefits of these foods, and how they help nurture our bodies. Food chosen to try will be up to the families to decide to help ensure they are readily available in your area. Example foods can include: broccoli Brussel sprouts cauliflower kale For whichever food has been chosen that week, we will start with discussing how the student feels about that particular food. Next, we will use our senses to explore that food. We will then try the food raw and cooked to see which way we like best. Student will choose the manner in which it is cooked the previous week. Lastly, we will discuss what we will try the following week, or if we want to try the same food again but prepared or cooked in a different way. If you don't see a time that suits your schedule, please contact me for times that work for your family.

Students may need help with kitchen tools or cooking as needed, or parents may have to prepare beforehand depending on child's age and ability.
