Students will demonstrate fine motor and gross motor actions by following the leader. The teacher will present action cards, such as "ride a bike," or "hit a ball." Students will copy the actions of the teacher. The teacher will also present a series of picture steps for common actions, such as "brush your teeth," and "wash your hands." Students will copy the steps of each action. Finally, students will each be given a turn to be the leader. They will lead an action and the other students in...
Students will learn the steps to common tasks and learn motor imitation skills and vocabulary.
Students will be provided with printable step charts, such as the steps to washing their hands that may be posted in the bathroom after class, but homework is not required.
Students will receive verbal praise for following along and participating in class.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
