During this ongoing class, students will practice thinking/comprehension skills during the reading of a different tale each week. Join me as we embark on an adventure of learning about traditional literature from around the world!

Class Experience

*This class will never be cancelled due to low enrollment. I will teach to one learner!

Reading aloud to young readers is incredibly important. It builds vocabulary, improves listening skills, introduces new genres, and sparks a thirst for more books! Each week students will listen to and participate in dialogue about a different folktale. These are not the watered-down Disney versions of stories, but rather a more authentic retelling of cultural tales. I will begin each lesson by locating...

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
