In this course, students delve into the world of folktales and then creatively rewrite one to reflect their own cultural experiences. They connect with their heritage while exploring a universal theme and lesson of a traditional story.

Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Start: We'll kick off the session with a presentation about folktales, with an emphasis on “The Gingerbread Man.” Students will watch a short YouTube video of the story, identify its key elements, and examine a reimagined version.

Middle: Students will then design their own versions of “The Gingerbread Man,” inspired by their culture and experiences, using Google Docs in Google Classroom.

End: We'll wrap up the session with students sharing excerpts from their unique stories.

In addition to the one time meeting, the price includes personalized feedback in Google Doc highlighting your learner’s accomplishment and critiquing their revised fairytale.
