Would you rather paint a picture or learn about a famous artist? In this class, you can do both. You will learn a little about Vincent Van Gogh and then use his art to inspire our own acrylic painting using tin foil/aluminum foil as a canvas. Each learner should choose their own paint colors. While there will be a demonstration, creativity is encouraged. Get your reactions ready in case a game of Would You Rather breaks out. The learners will learn to create a painting on tin foil/aluminum foil in the style of Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night. While we are painting, the learners will also learn about creating textures and using lines and shapes to create their works of art. They will also learn about creating landscapes. The class will be structured as follows: Greetings Demonstration Painting and Socializing Virtual Art Gallery While we paint, we will socialize. This may include playing Would You Rather if the members of the class would like to do so. My teaching style is relaxed. I encourage students to add their own creative touches to their paintings. I like to point out the positive elements of the learner's art to help guide growth. The learners will get to interact with me and other learners throughout the lesson. Socialization is encouraged. The topics covered are post-impressionistic art techniques used by Van Gogh to make this piece of art. The class will utilize a demonstration format to help students create their own art pieces utilizing Van Gogh's style. The class environment will be relaxed and learners will be encouraged to socialize with each other as well as share their creations. There is no prior knowledge or experience needed. Younger students may need assistance with acrylic paints. *** I do not cancel classes due to low enrollment.
