Description
Class Experience
Learners will learn to create a piece of art using aluminum foil and acrylic paints to create a piece of art in the style of Van Gogh's Starry Night painting.
During my 30 year brick and mortar teaching experience, I have taught all academic areas for grades K-5 including Art and STEAM. During this time I have taught foil painting to well over 1000 students.
There will be no homework assigned. However, students may wish to continue creating art in this style after the class has been completed.
Aluminum/Tin foil Acrylic paints- any colors that the child prefers should be used Paintbrushes or cotton swabs for painting with Cup of water Paper towel Cardboard to wrap the foil around while painting Smile
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The learner progress will be assessed utilizing informal assessment as well as the creation of their own foil painting in the style of Starry Night.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
There is no sensitive content in this lesson. Younger students may need assistance with acrylic paints.
