Class experience
In this class learners will learn a daily breathing practice using sound. Using sound with mindfulness puts children in control of their mental and physical energy by concentrating on the sound and breathing. This helps children to calm their minds and get ready to focus. Controlling breathing also calms the body by slowing the heart rate and lowering blood pressure, allowing our focus to sharpen. I have a Foundations for Teachers certificate from The Mindfulness in Schools Project I received from Phuket international Academy in 2015. This was an eight-week training course for teachers to use mindfulness in schools. I also have five years experience using mindfulness with students from Pre k- Grade 8.
