This fun one-time class focuses on the fundamentals of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) while getting students excited about the upcoming holiday. We will open with an introduction, while each student shares their favorite food at Thanksgiving dinner and something they are thankful for. Next, the class will play an interactive number recognition game for numbers 1-6. Then, the real fun begins! Each student will apply the engineering design process to build a turkey balloon rocket to test out. Younger learners may need assistance from a grownup when assembling and testing balloon rocket.
Learning Goals
Students will practice number recognition. They will also apply the engineering design process to build and improve their turkey balloon rockets.
