This class will be a continuation of First Flute Lessons. It is a requirement that a student take First Flute Lessons, Part I or know how to play B, A, G, and C at the beginning level. 1st session - Learn E & F. Review B, A, G and C in the book and learn new notes along with duets. 2nd session - Learn B-Flat (high and Low), five not B-flat scale and various slurring patterns. 3rd session - Middle D; learn C scale and review duets. 4th session - Eighth notes, slurring, review of first three lessons The class is structured as a group music class. I will teach out of the book, Flute 101 and all students should have their own copy of the book. My teaching style is informal, encouraging and focused on the fundamentals of playing flute. I use slides which review what we cover in class. Learners can be at the beginning level, but should have some basic knowledge of three or four notes.
Learning Goals
Students will learn E, F and B-flat, how to play middle D, eighth notes and slurring. This is a continuation of the first class called First Flute Lessons.
