Our team consists of native American Sign Language speakers who are proficient in both ASL and English. They have substantial expertise in instructing both hearing and deaf children, holding certifications as teachers and tutors. Collectively, their experience spans more than five decades within the public school system. This remarkable group possesses a deep affection for working with children and is well-equipped to provide top-notch instruction.
Homework Offered
I will share links that I believe are helpful to the student's progress but are not required.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
At the conclusion of each unit, we provide a brief assessment to monitor the progress of every student.Grades Offered
Deaf and hard-of-hearing students. We utilize a variety of communication methods to ensure that every child's needs are met, including captions, chat, visual aids, and sign language.
✅ Mastery of the ASL alphabet and fingerspelling. ✅ Ability to sign your name and introduce yourself in ASL.
This class works best if students work on an iPad, Desktop, or Laptop.
I will be using outside websites such as Google and Youtube to assist in learning, playing interactive games, and tools to help manage slide show presentations, flashcards, videos, and quiz games.
