In this class, students will learn what parts make up a flower including roots, stem, leaves, and flower heads. The instructor will explain the function of each part and how they all work together. The sunshine on the leaves helps the chlorophyll turn into food, while pollinators spread pollen to other flowers in the garden. The instructor will make learning fun, including a story about a garden fairy named Marigold. Marigold's flower home has fallen apart and she needs the help of the students to put it back together. In the classroom, we will be using slides, storytime, puppets, and will be very interacting with students.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, I'm teacher Mary. I have many years of experience working in a classroom setting. As a professional storyteller, I taught history to elementary age students for over 14 years. I would wear costumes and make learning fun. My work as a master gardener, professional seamstress, and preschool teacher makes me well rounded to teach various classes. I owned a children's bookshop and would love to have book clubs. I have a passion for sewing that I will be sharing. My classes will include topics on Nature and the importance of taking care of planet earth. I believe learning should be fun! My classes will include skills that children will use for a lifetime. Again my name is Mary and when I was young I thought the song "Jolly Holiday" from Mary Poppins was about me. I felt so special. My hope is while in my classroom my students feel "Practically perfect in every way"
