Flower Fairy Teatime: The Alphabet
Class experience
You're invited to Flower Fairy Teatime! In this ongoing, whimsical class, we will visit a new alphabet flower fairy each week from “A Flower Fairy Alphabet” by Ciecely Mary Barker. We will explore a fantastical poem centered around our star flower fairy, and listen to musical works that also coordinate with each flower fairy. As we work our way through the fairy alphabet, we’ll spend time coloring each flower fairy, examining specific flowers, and discussing their color, shape, and...
This class is taught in English.
Through Flower Fairy Teatime, we will focus on a new letter/letter sound each week which corresponds with a different flower fairy, poem, musical piece, and flower. We will be able to cover basic letter sounds, music and poem appreciation, a mini nature study on flowers, and colors, shapes, structure, and all while sipping our tea, and enjoying a fancy, flower fairy teatime.
As a certified music teacher, mom, and homeschooling parent, I enjoy connecting all of the arts and encouraging multi-sensory learning through play. This is a great way to introduce or reinforce topics with fun and accessible activities!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Parents will want to help their learners prepare for teatime by preparing a snack and tea (or juice in your fanciest tea cup!) before class. Also, there will be a new coloring page for each week, and parents are encouraged to print ahead of class for their learners.
