The class is one of four different classes offered that should be taken consecutively. Please take the classes in order--For example: 1.Floor Gymnastics for Dancers & Gymnasts Strength (1 Of 4) 2.Floor Gymnastics for Dancers & Gymnasts Balancing and Flexibility (2 Of 4). 3. Floor Gymnastics for Dancers & Gymnasts Limbering (3 of 4) 4.Floor Gymnastics for Dancers & Gymnasts Tumbling (4 Of 4) Tested on the Primary Level in Acrobatic Arts Skill Sheet. After finishing 4 of 4 Primary Level, the next Fllor Gymnastics for Dancers & Gymnasts would be AcroArts Level 1 group of classes. Students will learn in a live class setting with instructor explaining and demonstrating skills then correcting the student. Interaction with coach and student will be visual and verbal while instructing students on floor gymnastics. Class time is structured with a cardio & strength warm-up, stretching, limbering for bridging, handstand progressions, concentrate on a certain tumbling skill--cartwheel, roundoff, aerials, back or front tumbling, learn a routine to music with tumbling skills. Topics that will be covered in class: * Handstands progressions, handstand balancing, handstand walking *Cartwheel progressions, One handed cartwheels, and hurdle drills for aerials *Bridge and limbering drills *Roundoff progressions and drills *Front and back walkovers *Front and back limbers *Back Handspring Drills (not the back handspring due to no live coach)
Learning Goals
Students will learn flexibility, strength, balancing, limbering, and tumbling from Acrobatic Arts progression sheets.

Parental Guidance
Risk of injury if students are not performing skills correctly. Parental guidance and assistance may be needed. Please make sure proper safety precautions are taken. For example, make sure student is not performing skills next to furniture and has proper matting required for class.
This is a risky class because the student does not have a coach at home to work with them on proper form and technique and the potential for injury exists. Parent supervision(adult present during the class) and skills may need to be modified according to skill level, skill, and strength of each student.

I'm certified through USA Gymnastics and Acrobatic Arts and I've learned from many different coaches and instructors throughout my years of coaching. I truly love to see the gymnast improve with unique progressions. Watching students achieve skills and be excited about accomplishing a body movement is amazing to watch!
