This class will be more like an afterschool Robotics meeting. We will informally share what's going on with FLL. I will give students a chance to talk strategy, ask questions about the Robot Game, The Innovative Project, Core Values, or any aspect related to the competition. Each student will get equal time to talk or if they just want to listen, that's perfectly fine. Each weekly meeting will develop as the FLL season goes along. Your child might have new questions as new challenges develop...
Students will learn about speaking to a group. Students will learn about FLL Challenge and Robotics through question asking. Students will learn successful strategies on how to be a contributing member to their FLL team through shared advice by myself and the group.
I have taught Robotics and coached FLL Challenge for 7 years. I have taken our school's FLL Challenge Team to the State Regional Championships all 7 years. We have won 3 Overall Championship Awards at our Qualifiers. Won Mentor Of the Year at the Riverside Qualifying Tournament 2021.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
