In this class we will be making eight clothing items for 18 inch dolls that fit the 1900s time period. We will be using the official Pleasant Company patterns for Samantha's Pretty Clothes so you're doll can dress just like Samantha. Prior to beginning this class students should have basic knowledge of a sewing machine including threading the machine and sewing a straight seam. In this class we will be learning all about the fashion of the early 1900s and how to create the styles ourselves.
The patterns will be provided by the teacher (they are available free for use). Students will need to source other materials for sewing during week one. We will discuss the exact fabric requirements (and how to make your items look authentic) during class one.
As always, parents should be aware of sewing machine and scissor use in the home.
