In this class we will be making a beautiful dress for girls.
Class experience
In this class we will work together to sew ourselves a dress. The pattern fits sizes 3/6 months through 12 youth. Each step will include a video instruction and students will make a response using photos or video to show their projects with that step complete. Students should plan to spend time each day watching the daily video, working on their project, commenting with videos or pictures of their project in progress, and responding to others projects in progress. Students will learn to sew a cotton dress for themselves that includes sizing techniques, gathers, ruffles, elastic, and shirring.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will need to have access to a working sewing machine for this class. The instructor will be using an older version of this machine: https://amzn.to/2XtCcsY Students are responsible for knowing how to turn on, and thread their spacific machine prior to beginning class. If you need help with these steps often craft store employees (who you can meet with personally) and/or youtube videos are of great assistance. Please let the instructor know prior to class if you are still struggling and we will find a way to help. We will be using sewing machines and irons. An adult must be in the household and available during class time in case of emergencies!
