Class Experience
This is a beginners level elementary art class. Students will learn many different skills and understand how to use a variety of art materials. Elements of art and principals of design will be incorporated in the lessons and the children will discover where and when to apply them. Each week, a new lesson will be taught and the art mediums will vary. At the end of each class, the completed artwork will showcase what the child has learned! I am passionate about arts education and believe that art is so important in a child's life! I am enthusiastic about each lesson I teach and every lesson has been carefully planned and tested in my art classroom. I teach in a positive way and encourage each learner express themselves in their work. I love helping students discover their artistic talents!
Basic materials to have ready include: construction paper (black, brown, blue) watercolor paper (10 sheets, white, 9x12 size) crayons markers watercolor paints acrylic paints paintbrushes oil pastels pencil, eraser foam sheet (9x12, any color) glue stick scissors *Specific supply lists will be shared before the start of each lesson
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
