Students will be given workouts and stretches to do, they will answer questions about how the felt during each session. They will have over 10 workouts.

Homework
2-4 hours per week. All homework will be individual homework. It should only take students a few minutes after class to write up their homework. Homework will be allowed to be posted to the group messaged board or they can email myself. It is optional if the student wants to share their homework. Homework will be extra workouts during the week.
Assessment
Students will have a chance to compare their first workout to their last workout to see their overall improvement.

Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
Beginner Level
In this FLEX class, students will learn fitness exercises, proper techniques for movements, stretches, and nutrition. During each class, I will begin by sharing a fitness exercise.  Students will learn stretches and exercises they can do at home and how to do it safely/properly.  This class will have a 3 class post per week, most post will include a workout.   Our final week of class will have post with workouts on each day.  Each post will be available at 9am CST.  Students may do the workouts when it is best for them. 

I will have a video demonstrating how to do each exercise properly and ways to modify it to allow all fitness levels to participate in this class.   Finally, we will end with a class discussing nutrition, learning where we can get good nutrition from and why our bodies need it.  

During this session of classes, there will be several workouts the students are able to do while at home.  There will be multiple posting during the session for the students to check in, ask questions or share their fitness progress (students are not required to share any information they do not want to). 

Some classes will be a recorded video as well as a PowerPoint.  

This class is for all fitness levels.  Students do not need any previous exercise skills or exercise classes to join! Students should be dressed in activewear that allows them to move freely during our class.  Following the class, students will tell how they felt during their workout, what was easy in the workout, and what was hard in the workout. 

Since this class is a flex class students will be able to commute through classroom board chats, or email to discuss any ideas the student has or workout requests.  Students will be encouraged to create an exercise list or their own challenge for classmates and share those through pictures or videos on the classroom board.
Students will be encouraged to share their workouts on the message board or through email.  Our fitness class is a positive class, I would like to see others cheering others and motivating thru the weeks of workouts/class.
Learning Goals
Student will learn the importance of exercise, health and fitness.  My goal is to teach all students exercises they are able to do safely at home.  I also will teach the student about nutrition, students will be able to learn what they should eat and shouldn't eat.  This will help they make proper food choices to enjoy a happy healthy life style.

Parental Guidance
Parents should guide students while they are working out. Please give the student enough space to move freely without objects in their way.
Supply List
Students will be provided a workout demonstration done by myself.  I will also provide a PowerPoint for each lesson.   I encourage all students to have water available when they are doing the workout, wearing the proper shoes and clothing (something that is comfortable to move in).   Also it is important for the students to have space to move and exercise.
Weights can be used but they are not required.
