Key Points of our Reader Club: — Who (Characters): Who do Jack and Annie meet? — What (Plot, Story, Timeline): We learn about moving through plots, main ideas and details. Story prediction will a part of our adventure. — When (History): What are the characters wearing? What do they use for transportation? — Where (Geography/Setting): Where did we land? What do we see? Is this a real place? We will learn map skills as well. — Why (Culture): Time travel is more fun and interactive when we look at the culture. — How (Science): Science! Really? These books will have an element of science that we will explore. — Why (Moral of the Story/Learning Lesson): The beautiful thing about the Magic Tree House series is the lessons we learn from the adventures of Jack and Annie.
I have offered these book clubs for Magic Tree House for over two decades and have facilitated these book clubs online for over three years. I love these books!! I read along with the children with the same enthusiasm they have as we travel in time. It is a joy to teach, read and journey with my students. I read at a very early age and remember the joy of a new book or an escape in time. I still read and listen to multiple books and participate in book clubs myself. I share book titles and suggestions with my friends. I hope to ignite this lifelong hobby to your child.
