In this 8 week self-paced course, students will learn up to 15 new words per week. Each week will have a specific theme, listed below. There will be a variety of practice activities for learners to complete, both individual and peer interactive options. Week 1Lesson 1ColorsIn this lesson, we will go over the names of colors in Spanish. There is a video and practice activity. the practice activity includes a labeling activity and a color by number in Spanish.Week 2Lesson 2WeatherThis lesson will go over the vocabulary for different types of weather. Included in this lesson is a video and a crossword practice activity.Week 3Lesson 3Body PartsThis week, the lesson covers the names of body parts. This week has a a video without audio to help practice, an art activity, and a video with audio to review once you have practiced with the silent video.Week 4Lesson 4ClothesIn this lesson, we will go over different types of clothing. Once you have watched the video, there is a matching practice activity and a Kahoot! Challenge.Week 5Lesson 5ActivitiesThis lesson is about verbs. There is not conjugating in this, just the infinitive form of the words. We will also cover how to say we do or do not like doing the activities listed. There is a practice activity to complete after watching the lesson video.Week 6Lesson 6FoodThis week, the vocabulary is all about food. There is a video and a mystery puzzle activity for practiceWeek 7Lesson 7AnimalsIn this lesson, we will learn the names of different types of animals in Spanish. There will be a vocabulary challenge using previous words and a word search to complete about animals.Week 8Lesson 8Parts of a HouseThe final lesson in the class is about the parts of a house. There is a video to watch and a practice video/audio for you to create.
Students will add up to 100 new words to their vocabulary.
I have been learning Spanish for most of my life. I lived in Spanish speaking country for over 6 years. I still go to that country every year. I also use Spanish in my every day life for work.

Each week will have several activities to complete.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
