This 8-week class helps you explore the four main learning styles: visual, auditory, read/write, and kinesthetic. You'll learn what makes each style unique and how to figure out which one suits you best. We'll dive into fun and engaging ways to study and learn based on your personal style. The course also teaches how different learning styles can work together in group projects and other activities. By the end, you'll understand the importance of knowing your learning style and how it can help you succeed in school and beyond! Week-by-week breakdown: Week 1: Introduction to Learning Styles Definition of learning styles Importance of understanding learning styles Overview of the four primary learning styles Week 2: Visual Learners: Seeing is Believing Characteristics of visual learners Strategies for engaging visual learners Week 3: Auditory Learners: Tuning into Learning Characteristics of auditory learners Strategies for engaging auditory learners Week 4: Read/Write Learners: The Power of the Written Word Characteristics of read/write learners Strategies for engaging read/write learners Week 5: Kinesthetic Learners: Learning through Action Characteristics of read/write learners Strategies for engaging read/write learners Week 6: Working Together: Group Dynamics and Learning Styles Importance of collaboration and diverse learning styles Strategies for incorporating various learning styles in group work Week 7: Adapting Study Techniques for Different Learning Styles Techniques for managing time and setting goals Tips for staying organized and managing stress Week 8: Wrap-up and Future Success Recap of the four primary learning styles Importance of lifelong learning and self-awareness Strategies for adapting to new learning situations and environments The flexible schedule (Recorded Flex Class) allows learners to watch pre-recorded videos and complete assignments at their convenience. Students can spend extra time on topics that interest them most. As a flex class, there are no live meetings, but students can submit questions to the teacher and receive feedback on assignments. After watching each video and completing the homework assignments, students will be provided with feedback and the specific next steps on how to improve or adapt. Time frame for the Week: Mondays - The teacher will post the information needed for the week. Students can submit questions. Tuesdays - Wednesday - The teacher can answer any questions pertaining to the topic of the week. The students will need to complete any homework assignments and answer any questions in the discussion. Thursday - Students need to have all tasks completed and uploaded in the classroom for teacher feedback and discussion. Students will discuss it among themselves. Friday - The teacher will provide feedback to the class and individual students. Saturday - Sunday - The teacher will be available to answer any questions that the students may have for the week or the next week. Please note: This course requires no prior experience.
