Description
Class Experience
In this class, learners will work through the first few pages of Standard of Excellence Comprehensive Band Method book one and learn concepts like how to assemble the trumpet or cornet, oil the valves, make the first sounds, count whole notes and half notes, and play pitches C, D, and E. We will finish the class with a recorded duet! This flex class is for students just beginning to play the trumpet or cornet. Each week, I'll post a video. Students will need to watch the weekly video and practice the material each week. How much depends on how fast the student learns. Students will also have optional worksheets posted each week if they want additional work to help learn the material.
Students will need to purchase Standard of Excellence Comprehensive Band Method Book One for Trumpet by Bruce Pearson
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
