In this 16-week class, the student will learn the basics of travel planning and how to stay safe while on the go. The class will be divided into the following weeks and topics: Week 1: Introduction to Travel Planning Week 2: Researching Destinations Week 3: Creating an Itinerary Week 4: Budgeting for Travel Week 5: Packing Tips and Tricks Week 6: Choosing Transportation Week 7: Navigating Airports and Train Stations Week 8: Staying Safe Abroad Week 9: Cultural Differences and Customs Week...
By the end of this course, students will be able to research and plan a trip, create an itinerary, budget their expenses, pack efficiently, navigate transportation systems, and stay safe while traveling.
With over 20 years of teaching experience and a passion for travel, the teacher has planned and executed many successful trips both domestically and internationally. They have experience with budget travel, solo travel, group travel, and adventure travel, and have navigated transportation systems and cultural differences around the world.
Homework Offered
Each week, learners will be given a travel-related project to complete, which will range from researching destinations to creating a travel budget. Homework will take approximately 1 hours per week.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learner progress will be assessed through project submissions and feedback from the teacher.Grades Offered
Students will need access to a computer with internet connection, a notebook, and a pen.
This course does not contain any content that may be upsetting or scary to learners. Students will be provided with tips on staying safe while traveling.
Course materials will include articles, websites, and videos on travel planning, as well as personal anecdotes and tips from the teacher's own travel experiences.
