Students will spend 10 weeks in an intensive mastermind as they begin their photography businesses. This course allows students to navigate questions and issues as they arise in their business and receive assistance quickly. They will continue to work on photography skills weekly during the entire 4 course sequence.
Before I began mentoring aspiring and working photographers, I ran a successful photography business in a small town in Pennsylvania. I made many mistakes along the way which helped me develop the training program that I use for mentoring and have adapted for teenagers here on Outschool.
Homework Offered
Students can expect to spend 1-3 hours each week working on their photography skills and making decisions for their business. Most of this time will be taking photos and organizing their thoughts on each topic as we proceed through the course. Students who are starting their business during this course could spend many more hours devoted to this work.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
All learners will receive feedback on all of their images throughout class. Grades can be provided for any students who need them - contact me for more information.Grades Offered
A camera that allows the student to change their aperture, shutter speed, and ISO is required for this course. DSLR or mirrorless cameras are most common. Many students will be using Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop at this point in their photography education.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
