Week 1Lesson 1How to Purchase Sewing Pattern & Fabric-Student will purchase their sewing pattern and be advised on what fabric and notions to purchase to make the skirt.Week 2Lesson 2Cutting Out Sewing Pattern-The student will learn how to measure to make sure they use the correct size pattern and learn how to cut out the paper pattern.Week 3Lesson 3Cutting Fabric-The student will learn how to pin pattern pieces onto fabric and cut out the sewing pattern.Week 4Lesson 4Sewing Skirt Front Panels-The student will sew the skirt front panels together and do a gathering stitch.Week 5Lesson 5Sewing Skirt Back Panels-The student will sew the skirt back panels together, do a gathering stitch, and finish by sewing the back and front together.Week 6Lesson 6Gather & Sew waistband-The student will learn to gather fabric and sew the waistband of the skirtWeek 7Lesson 7Insert a Zip-The student will learn to insert a zip and a hook and eyeWeek 8Lesson 8Hemming the skirt-The student will learn to hem their skirt
