Description
Class Experience
In this class we will be making eight clothing items for 18 inch dolls that fit the 1940s World War II time period. We will be using the official Pleasant Company patterns for Molly's Pretty Clothes so you're doll can dress just like Molly. Prior to beginning this class students should have basic knowledge of a sewing machine including threading the machine and sewing a straight seam. Because all machines are different, instructor can help with basic machine questions and problems but it is...
In this class we will be learning all about the fashion of the early 1940s and how to create the styles ourselves.
The patterns will be provided by the teacher (they are available free for use). Students will need to source other materials for sewing during week one. We will discuss the exact fabric requirements (and how to make your items look authentic) during class one.
No live meetings, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
As always, parents should be aware of sewing machine and scissor use in the home.
