Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
This course is designed for preschoolers and pre-kindergarteners!
Each week, the children will learn how to spell colors in a variety of ways; through singing, phonics blends, and writing. Singing for each word is a fun way to strengthen spelling. It increases brain activity and endorphins, improves confidence, and encourages engagement during class. Learners will be taught the phonics blends for that particular color (spelling, writing) through recorded lessons.

I believe that at this age, the most learning happens when your child is having FUN!
My goal is that your child will leave this course able to spell their colors with confidence, increase their knowledge of the sounds blended letters make, and feel a sense of pride and accomplishment.

For each color spelling video, learners will make the blended sounds we hear in each word, identify the sounds we hear, and then spell the word. I will guide learners with spelling each color, and learners can use their pencil and paper to follow along with the videos. There will be questions or drawing prompts with each color spelling video.

Each color we learn about will feature songs/videos with singing dinosaur puppets! This will help learners remember how to spell their colors in a fun, catchy way!

An essential skill for a growing reader to develop is knowing the sounds letters make when they are combined. Not only it is important to know each individual letter and the sounds they make, but the sounds various combinations make when they are placed together. These lessons and activities will set your learner up for reading success!
