Beginner Level
In this self-paced, 4-week photography course, young learners will engage with photography by exploring their environment to capture colors, foods, animals, and toys. At this level, our photography courses are structured like a scavenger hunt. Each week, students will watch a video lesson with photo challenges, pausing throughout to take their own pictures. Learners will have the opportunity to share their photos in the Outschool classroom, with guidance provided to help them post their work or even record a video of their photos. Parents may need to assist their children with uploading photos or responding to their classmates' pictures, but this course is designed to be fun and accessible for young learners, sparking their creativity while introducing them to basic photography concepts. This course offers a fun and interactive way for young children to engage with photography and develop observational skills through hands-on activities.
Learning Goals
Learners will practice identifying colors, shapes, and textures through photography.
Learners will develop storytelling skills by taking a series of photos that form a narrative.
