Your mission is to design your cat to fit in with a Clan. We will sculpt our 3 Dimensional Polymer Clay Cat figures! You, Yourself will need to create your own warrior cat name, which you will be known as for the duration of the mission.

Description

Class Experience

In this 4 week Art FLEXIBLE course, students will design their concept cat, based on characteristics chosen to work well within an existing Clan. Each lesson will have audio and video, along with step by step guides that are broken down into small segments. 

There are no Live meetings in Flex classes.

This class uses Nearpod. Each week, the lesson LINKS will be posted in the classroom. These links are accessible throughout the 4 weeks.

There will be a Collaboration Board in Nearpod for...

This class is taught in English.

Sketch paper or Digital
Coloring medium or Digital
Clay (you may use any clay/modeling compound of choice, but I will be instructing with Polymer bake clay)
A few metal jewelry pins or wire…and a cutting tool to cut to size
Basic Sculpting Tools
Chalk (Soft) Pastels or Acrylic Paint 
A baking sheet covered in baking paper
Optional: Gloss Glaze for after baking (I use Sculpey Gloss Glaze)

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Nearpod

No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

**Polymer clay requires baking according to the package direction. (Generally ~275 °F, depending on your brand of clay). You may do this after class. Parental help is necessary.
