Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 5
In this self-paced course, learners will create eight Pokémon drawings. The drawings are especially great for students who enjoy dragons. A list of drawings by week can be found in the 𝙎𝙮𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙪𝙨 section. Students will need a pencil, eraser, paper and something to color in with, like colored pencils or markers.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗮 “𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱” 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸?
There are no live sessions. There are eight recordings available. The recordings show my step-by-step instructions on how to draw each Pokémon. During the recordings, I have different screens visible, so that students can see me speaking at the start of each recording and then watch my hands as I draw and create. This allows learners to follow along with my instructions. I break each step down, so artists of all levels are welcome! Students have the ability to pause each recording, as needed. The recordings range from 13-38 minutes, with an average length of 28 minutes.

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿:
Discussions with the teacher takes place via the classroom message board or private message. I provide feedback on all submitted work within 0-48 hours, although I usually reply in less than 24 hours. My feedback is always positive to encourage young artists to keep creating! Please reach out with any questions!
Learning Goals
Students will learn to break drawings down into smaller steps and will improve their drawing skills through practice.
Learners will learn some new Pokémon facts as they draw.
