Class Experience
In this Flex Class we will explore each planet in the solar system. Students will learn all sorts of interesting facts about a different planet each week. We will talk about about what makes up each planet, what the weather is like on each planet, chances of life on each planet, etc. This Flex Class is the asynchronous version of my in-person ongoing class with the same course name. ***There are no scheduled live classes*** I often have parents in different times zones, those with...

I am a highly experienced educator. I love all things related to space and nature! I teach a number of different science-related classes. I am a University Professor who is highly experienced in teaching online asynchronous classes to students. I am very skilled in keeping my students of all ages engaged and interacting even when not in a live setting and have been doing so for several years.
Students will individually complete weekly worksheets, draw/craft, and participate in class activities.
Any supplies that might be needed are likely ones that are already present at home, such as crayons, play dough, etc.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
There is no formal assessments for this course.
No live meetings, and no time outside of class.
All activity will take place within our Outschool classroom, except for a 'Loom' link that will be provided to access the video component of the course each week. Due to the size and length of the videos, posting directly to the classroom is not possible. The link provided will be a secure link that takes the students directly to the recorded video. I have opted to use Loom instead of other sources, such as YouTube, due the safety and security provided for young learners.
