FLEX: Monster Truck Math Mash! (Preschool)

In this flex class, preschool learners will practice and build confidence in key math concepts using monster trucks! Through engaging monster truck themed activities, we will practice number concepts, shapes, size comparisons, patterns, beginning addition and subtraction, and more! Each video will include multiple concepts, because ongoing practice of each skill is important for mastery of each skill. The activities will include songs, bright visuals, and interactive activities. This will be a fun, engaging math class! 

The class will have no live meetings, but will still be very interactive! Each of the 4 weeks, I will post a weekly video lesson at the beginning of each week that will incorporate multiple math skills. Learners can watch the video when they choose. I will include some hands-on activities through out the 4 weeks that can easily be accomplished with everyday household items.  Throughout the videos, learners are encouraged to have their monster trucks in hand and rev their engines along with me! Our trucks will do flips and tricks, while we sing together. We will have so much fun!

To ensure the class remains interactive, learners will share at least one picture or video from the week related to something they learned. Some examples of weekly interactions are: share a video or picture of your monster truck making a pattern, share a video of you singing the monster truck addition song, and share how you used three-dimensional shapes in your monster truck tricks. Learners are encouraged to extend their engagement with each other by challenging other classmates to try their pattern, addition/subtraction problem, or to attempt their trick with shapes during the video they share in the classroom.
