Description

Class Experience

Students will learn to utilize formulas and functions within Microsoft Excel. They will get hands-on practice during class and gain an understanding of how Excel can be used in every-day life.

Topics covered will include:
•	Excel vocabulary and skills (cell, column, row, worksheet, formula, function, static, cell reference, sorting, conditional formatting)
•	Math vocabulary (exponent, median, mode, sum)
•	Formulas (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, exponents, change)
•	Functions (SUM, AVERAGE, MEDIAN, MODE, RANK, LEN, LEFT, MAX, MIN, &, YEAR, MONTH, DAY, DATE, IF, SUMIF, COUNTIF, VLOOKUP)
I have virtually taught over 400 young learners on Outschool and another platform, but prior to that I enjoyed a thirteen-year corporate career, where I used Excel to make my work more efficient and effective on a daily basis. I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from Bucknell University.

Students should have Microsoft Excel on their computer prior to starting class, so they can use the program and follow along as I teach the class.
No live meetings, and no time outside of class.
