This 5-week course will teach you how to use Canva's editing tools and features like a professional. You will learn how to import and organize photos and videos, basic and advanced editing techniques, creating video collages and quotes, and creating a final project. By the end of the course, you will have the skills and knowledge to create professional and engaging content for personal or professional use. Week 1: Introduction to Canva's editing tools Importing and organizing photos and videos Basic editing tools (cropping, resizing, adjusting brightness and contrast, etc.) Introduction to advanced editing tools (layers, filters, etc.) Week 2: Creating photo collages and video collages How to create photo and video collages using Canva's editing tools Examples of creative and engaging collages Week 3: Video editing in Canva Importing and organizing videos Basic and advanced video editing tools (adding text, design elements, etc.) Creating video quotes and memes Adding music and sound effects Creating video intros and outros Week 4: Creating a final project with Canva Choosing a topic for the final project Researching and planning for the final project Creating the final project using Canva's editing tools and features Finalizing and sharing the project Reviewing and feedback Refining and improving the project Week 5: Presenting and reviewing final projects Presenting the final project Reviewing final projects Celebrating success In this course, students will have the opportunity to practice the skills they have learned through hands-on exercises and homework assignments. They will also receive feedback from the instructor and peers on their final projects. By the end of the course, students will have a portfolio of professional and engaging photos and videos to showcase their skills. The flexible schedule (Flex Class) allows your learners to watch the pre-recorded videos and do them at a time that is FUN for them! You can also spend extra time on the topics your child is most interested in. Since this is a flex class with no live meetings, students can log in at a convenient time to complete the week's lesson. We will be going through each week as a group and I will post the lesson weekly (depending on which day you started). No experience is required to take this class. The videos will contain the information required to give students a good understanding of each topic, and each one will include homework for the students to undertake during the week. Homework assignments will include writing a list of topics, interests, and areas of expertise in which the students might be interested in developing on Canva. After watching each video and completing the homework assignments, students will be provided with feedback and the specific next steps to make their designs and vision a reality, including how to create a youtube video, youtube banner, and youtube thumbnails. Time frame for the Week: Mondays - The teacher will post the information needed for the week. Tuesdays-Wednesday - The teacher can answer any questions pertaining to the topic of the week. The students will need to complete any homework assignments and answer any questions in the class. Thursday - Students need to have all tasks completed and uploaded in the classroom. Friday - The teacher will provide feedback to the class and individual students, students will also be able to engage in peer-to-peer review and be able to discuss how they went about completing the tasks. Saturday - Sunday - Teacher will be available to answer any questions that the students may have for the week or the next week.

He has worked with children of all ages in the fields of sports, circus skills, and business as a trainer and mentor. He has extensive experience in mentoring and counseling which he applies during this class.
So, he understands from first-person experience how addictive video games can be. He has 3 young stepchildren who he helps get active away from their Playstation, Nintendo, Xbox, playing games like Zelda, Mario, Pokemon, Apex / League of Legends, Minecraft, Roblox, Fortnite, etc. and uses many of the techniques and theories explained in this course to help them get a better balance to their lives.
