Throughout the class, students will learn important life skills, including goal setting and time management, financial literacy, critical thinking and problem solving, effective communication, digital citizenship, conflict resolution, self-care and well-being, leadership and teamwork, entrepreneurship and innovation, health and nutrition, career readiness, community engagement, creativity and innovation, resilience and adaptability, ethics and morality, and home management.
Our instructor, Jo, brings a unique set of skills and experience to the table, making him the ideal teacher for this course on essential life skills for teens. With over 20 years of teaching experience, Jo has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a passion for teaching various subjects to learners of all ages. Additionally, he has worked as a martial arts expert and has performed around the world with various circus teams, showcasing his many talents, including bubbleology, staff spinning, juggling, and stilt walking.

As a successful serial entrepreneur, Jo has a wealth of knowledge in financial management and investment portfolio management, making him an expert in identifying and seizing opportunities.  Throughout his university education, Jo took various classes related to the topics covered in this 16-week course, further enhancing his expertise in essential life skills. Jo's diverse background and extensive experience make him the ideal instructor for this course, designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully navigate the challenges of adulthood.
Homework Offered
After watching each pre-recorded video and completing the homework assignments, students will receive feedback and the specific next steps on how to improve or adapt. Homework assignments will include individual and group projects that should take about 30 mins per week.
