Class Experience
*IMPORTANT PREREQUISITE: This is the third course in the Creative Photography Class Series. Students should complete the 4 week and 6 week courses before enrolling in this one. Links for these courses are listed below. All 3 courses together are an 18 week semester-long course. Students with DSLR or mirrorless cameras interested in learning how to use their shutter speed, F-stop, and ISO should choose to take the Manual Mode course before this Level 3 fundamentals course. Students will be able to create images with excellent lighting anywhere they go with any equipment they have with them. This course will push their photography skills to the next level as they continue to use the rules of composition and other techniques to make their subjects stand out and create intentional images.
Students will have homework every week which will be to take around 5 photos with specific goals and they are encouraged to share their work with the class.
Camera or phone/tablet with a camera Objects and/or people around the house to photograph Different light sources to use - lamps, flashlights, etc.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will have the opportunity to pause class videos, take photos, and share their images with the teacher and the class so they can try out skills immediately. Students will receive feedback for their photographs throughout the course.
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
