Want to know how to create fairly simple desserts that are delicious and impressive? YOU GOT THIS! We will create a different, yummy dessert each week. These recipes are easy enough for the newest baker but will impress your tasters! There are some recipes that use a special pan (Bundt and spring form/break away pan). They are fairly inexpensive so please plan ahead! To teach the class I use videos that walk students through each recipe step-by-step. They can watch the video pausing to work at their own pace and complete the recipe along with me. Whatever works for them. Students interact with one another weekly through comments and posting pictures and videos of their creations. I will answer all questions posted in the classroom or to me personally and I leave feedback on all student's work! I will run the class in this manner: A week before, the recipe will be posted so you have time to shop for ingredients you do not have. Create a list of all ingredients needed and decide what you already have and what needs to be purchased for the weeks recipe. *Each week I invite you to share photos of your finished dessert if it's convenient. I love to see what you do. *I respond to each students post within 24 hours, so if you have questions please ask! Here are recipes we will make but are not limited to: (If I choose to change a recipe it will be weeks in advance. (Recipe uses a Bundt pan though you can make it in a 9x13 cake pan) *Why can a self paced class be a good choice? -Students work at different paces or may not be comfortable in a regular class setting. They can be a good fit. -Students may not have set schedules that allow them to take a class the same time each week. Flex allows that flexibility to do the class when it fits in their week and your families schedule.
Learning Goals
I want my students to enjoy baking simple but yummy desserts from a young age taking pride in the presentation as well as the taste. we will also learn to recognize ingredients that compliment each other. Flavors that blend together to create a new recipe a little different than the one we make in class.
