Students will learn how to identify and manage money, understand the basics of investing, identify and analyze investment opportunities, and create and manage a personal investment portfolio.
Our teacher has over 20 years of teaching experience, including extensive experience in financial management and investment, and a bachelor's degree in computer science.
Homework Offered
Homework will consist of weekly projects that will take approximately 1-2 hours to complete. Projects may be completed individually or as a group, and will include readings, research, and analysis.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learner progress will be assessed through teacher feedback on homework assignments, and individual and group discussion of completed projects.Grades Offered
Learners will need access to a computer, internet, and a notebook or journal.
This course may cover sensitive financial topics, but no media content will be used. Learners will be advised to consult with a financial advisor before making any investment decisions. We will cover how to invest and placement of funds and finances. It is important than any information in this class is discussed with a parent before you take any action.
The curriculum will include material from personal finance experts, investment advisors, and government agencies.
