In this course, the student will learn how to manage their money, identify investment opportunities, and create and manage a personal investment portfolio. The class will cover a range of topics, including understanding the value of money, identifying investment opportunities, analyzing investment opportunities, and creating and managing an investment portfolio. Homework will consist of weekly projects that will take approximately 1 hours to complete, and learners will receive feedback and next steps on how to improve their work. By the end of the class, learners will have the tools they need to build a strong financial future. Week 1: Understanding the Value of Money And TIME Week 2: What is Money Week 3: History of Money and Trading Week 4: Budgeting Week 5: Understanding Inflation Week 6: Understanding Modern and Digital Money Week 7: Cryptocurrency and Alternative Investments Week 8: Understanding Exchange Rates Week 9: Understanding Arbitrage Week 10: How Tax's work and affect profits Week 11: Saving (The Safest Investment) Week 12: Compound Interest Week 13: Real Estate Investing - Types Week 14: Real Estate Investing - Buying Week 15: Stocks and Bonds Week 16: Ethics in Investing - Creating a Personal Investment Plan - Investment Risks and Rewards The flexible schedule (Recorded Flex Class) allows your learners to watch the pre-recorded videos and do them at a time that is FUN for them! You can also spend extra time on the topics your child is most interested in. Since this is a flex class with no live meetings, students can log in at a convenient time to complete the week's lesson. We will be going through each week as a group and I will post the lesson weekly (depending on which day you started). The videos will contain the information required to give students a good understanding of each topic and each one will include homework for the students to undertake during the week, as part of a project. After watching each video and completing the homework assignments, students will be provided with feedback and the specific next steps on how to improve or adapt. Time frame for the Week: Mondays - The teacher will post the information needed for the week. Students can submit questions. Tuesdays - Wednesday - The teacher can answer any questions pertaining to the topic of the week. The students will need to complete any homework assignments and answer any questions in the discussion. Thursday - Students need to have all tasks completed and uploaded in the classroom for teacher feedback and discussion. Students will discuss it among themselves. Friday - The teacher will provide feedback to the class and individual students. Saturday - Sunday - The teacher will be available to answer any questions that the students may have for the week or the next week. Please note: This course requires no prior experience. *For parents/families who feel their child would benefit from this course, but their budget does not allow for it, I do offer a number of discounts for families of lower income.
