Description

Class Experience


• Perform arithmetic operations with variables
• Understand the relationship between numbers
• Use mathematical identities to solve problems
• Rewrite rational expressions
• Create equations that describe numbers or relationships
• Understand solving equations as a process of reasoning and explain the reasoning
• Solve equations and inequalities in one variable
• Represent and solve equations and inequalities graphically
• Understand and apply the Pythagorean Theorem.
• Solve real-world and mathematical problems involving volume of cylinders, cones and
spheres.
Practice is essential in order for students to understand mathematical concepts. Students will have roughly 30 minutes of homework after each lesson (3 times per week)
All handouts are online and editable.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will be quizzed after each unit.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
