This class is taught in English.
Students will learn the basics of sewing machine operation and maintenance, selecting and preparing fabric, reading and following patterns, and creating their own designs. They will also learn basic hand-sewing techniques, as well as how to add embellishments and decorations to their creations.
Jo is an experienced seamstress and sewing instructor, I have been teaching sewing classes for learners of all ages for over 20 years. I hold a BA degree and have designed and created custom clothing and costumes for individuals and theater productions.
Homework Offered
Each week, students will be assigned a project related to the week's lesson. Homework will take approximately 1-2 hours per week and will include completing the project and practicing techniques covered in the lesson.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Learner progress will be assessed through completed homework assignments and feedback from the instructor.Grades Offered
Students will need access to a sewing machine, sewing supplies (such as fabric, thread, and needles), and a computer or tablet with internet access for online materials. Supplies can be purchased at a reasonable cost from a fabric or craft store, or online.
Please note that this course involves the use of a sewing machine, and proper safety measures must be taken. Learners will be provided with instructions on how to safely use the machine, and adult supervision is recommended.
Class materials will include patterns and instructional videos, as well as resources from established sewing experts and online communities.
