Homework
1 hour per week. Each week, students will complete homework assignments to develop and refine their business plans. These assignments will culminate in a final project, which will be a completed business plan ready for review and feedback.
Assessment
Student progress will be assessed based on the completion of homework assignments and the final project.

Led by a serial entrepreneur and financial management expert, your student will learn the key concepts needed to turn their business ideas into a reality. With a flexible schedule that allows for individual pacing, this class is perfect for any young learner who wants to develop their business acumen. In this class, students will learn the key concepts needed to create a successful business plan. The class will be divided into the following weeks and topics:

Week 1: Introduction to Business Plans
Week 2: Key Business Terms and Concepts
Week 3: Conducting Market Research
Week 4: Identifying Target Customers
Week 5: Developing a Marketing Plan
Week 6: Understanding Revenue and Expenses
Week 7: Projecting Profits and Losses
Week 8: Financing Options for Small Businesses

By the end of the class, students will have created a detailed business plan ready to pitch to investors, seek funding, or start their own business.

The flexible schedule (Recorded Flex Class) allows your learners to watch the pre-recorded videos and do them at a time that is FUN for them! You can also spend extra time on the topics your child is most interested in. Since this is a flex class with no live meetings, students can log in at a convenient time to complete the week's lesson. We will be going through each week as a group and I will post the lesson weekly (depending on which day you started).

The videos will contain the information required to give students a good understanding of each topic and each one will include homework for the students to undertake during the week, as part of a project. 

After watching each video and completing the homework assignments, students will be provided with feedback and the specific next steps on how to improve or adapt. 
Time frame for the Week:
Mondays - The teacher will post the information needed for the week. Students can submit questions.
Tuesdays - Wednesday - The teacher can answer any questions pertaining to the topic of the week.  The students will need to complete any homework assignments and answer any questions in the discussion.
Thursday - Students need to have all tasks completed and uploaded in the classroom for teacher feedback and discussion. Students will discuss it among themselves.
Friday - The teacher will provide feedback to the class and individual students.
Saturday - Sunday - The teacher will be available to answer any questions that the students may have for the week or the next week.

This course requires no prior experience.
