In this 6 week FLEX course learners will interact with video lessons to gain knowledge about some basic graphic design principles, and learn to use Canva graphic design program to design posters, logos, and more! No LIVE meetings.

THERE ARE NO LIVE MEETINGS FOR THIS COURSE. Also, this is identical to the LIVE class I do, all lessons are the same. So, if you took the live course, the information will not be different. All projects are also the same. For feedback, please make sure you look inside of Outschool and allow for me to give feedback after the Friday due dates - this would be on a Monday or Tuesday of the following week. Students will learn some graphic design basics along with Canva graphic design program skills in typography, color theory, design, and compilation through hands-on learning projects.
I use the Canva graphic design program graphic design program on a daily basis, creating multiple designs per day on multiple platforms. I've been a Canva graphic design program user for over 5 years now, and use it for my own online business. I love this graphic design app and love sharing what it can do with students. I have been teaching middle school for 28 years. I am also a writing teacher.
Homework Offered
All work is independent, so learners need to pace themselves and remain on a weekly schedule in order to accomplish this course in six weeks. Inside the Outschool classroom, students will see a post that contains a PDF for them to download that contains clickable links to all videos, Slides, and assignments.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

Parents, students will need a Canva graphic design program account, which students can sign up through a private guardian account Google login. I also use YouTube videos as well as Kahoot and Pear Deck to make the class more interactive.
