Description
Class Experience
Grammar Galaxy is a literature based program. Each new concept is introduced in that week's chapter about the English children that live in Grammar Galaxy. Each week the grammar guardians will be asked to solve a problem that the Gremlin has created in the Galaxy. They will solve the problem by practicing a language arts skill. The skill will be explained in a letter to the guardians that states their mission. The mission will have three parts, giving students multiple opportunities to...
I have been teaching Grammar Galaxy on Outschool for two years and to my own children for four years.
Each week students will complete an "Advanced Guardians" assignment related to the skill from that week.
Students will need to purchase a mission manual in either digital ($25) or print ($30) format at https://funtolearnbooks.com/product/grammar-galaxy-yellow-star-mission-manual/ . This manual is used for all five units in Yellow Star and the digital version can be used by one family. I am not affiliated with this website. Students will also need a highlighter and a pencil.
Vocabulary words and language arts skills from previous classes will be reviewed at the beginning of each mission. A multiple choice ten question assessment will also be given at the end of each unit.
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
