[FLEX] Emotions Are Awesome. So Are You! [EMO-01]
What's included
Class Experience
In this flexible schedule class, students will learn more about how emotions are made and how to identify the different emotions they're experiencing - with self-reflection worksheets to reinforce their learning. The flexible format provides students with a personal space to learn more about their emotions, and is particularly suited for independent learners who are new to the topic, have busy schedules, or love learning on their own. This is a great introduction to my teaching style, and they can always sign up for my weekly rotation of live classes if they've enjoyed the class. Notes and materials will be sent prior to the start of class. We'll cover 4 key lessons: Lesson 1: Where emotions are made. Lesson 2: Learning to notice and identify different emotions. Lesson 3: The importance of emotions. Lesson 4: The Emotion Ladder *each lesson is accompanied by a self-reflection worksheet reinforces the content of each lesson. NOTE: The lessons are self-paced, meaning that learners can complete the lessons over 4 weeks or sooner, depending on their schedule or how quickly they complete the material. Because of the personal nature of the self-reflection worksheet, they will not be submitted or graded - but learners should feel free to share them with family members if they choose to! I will also be available to answer any questions on each of the four lessons posted in the classroom.

Teacher expertise and credentials
As a clinical psychology doctoral student at Northwestern University, I'm passionate about helping young people connect with themselves. In my clinical practice, I've worked with a diverse range of patients at Northwestern Hospital - conducting evidence-based therapy like CBT and ACT. As a parent myself, I appreciate the importance of evidence-based approaches, so all my Outschool classes are based on skill-building exercises that are firmly rooted in these principles. Nonethless, it's my personal goal to make my classes as fun, interactive, and engaging as possible so that my students enjoy their time in class, and learn to appreciate their thoughts and feelings!
