Class Experience

I am a lover of history and the human stories which are told from it- to discover our past and those who came before us helps us define our future and where we fit in life's tapestry. My desire is to share that love with our upcoming generations so that we can all learn and become better through its study.
I've included several writing/ discussion topics as 'homework' for your learners to think about and discuss- however, please don't feel limited to linguistic methods of expression, I would love to see all varieties of building projects, artistic creations, video footage + expressing their understanding of this historical time period, memorable individuals/ events, religions or battles. These are entirely optional, but fun supplemental activities we will share during future classes.
 2 files available upon enrollment
Kingfisher Illustrated History of the World (apx $15 used), Usborne Internet-linked Encyclopedia of World History (apx $15-25 used) or similar reference book.

Comprehension of the content is assessed as we progress through the course via weekly reviews, narrations and suggested essay topics every week- including a final presentation on the last day of class. Additional literature of historical fiction, classics and biographies are given to accompany this study of world history as individual reading or family read alouds for your reference and use.
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
