In this 16-week class, the student will learn the basics of digital marketing in the modern age. The class will be divided into the following weeks and topics: Week 1: Introduction to Digital Marketing - In this session, the student will learn what digital marketing is, why it is important, and the key components of a successful digital marketing campaign. Week 2: Using Canva / Tools to Create - This session will cover how to setup and use the basics of Canva for a business or product. Week 3: Photo Editing (with Canva) Week 4: Video Editing (with Canva) Week 5: Understanding Copyrights Week 6: Branding Posters and Calendars Week 7: Email Marketing - In this session, the student will learn how to create effective email marketing campaigns, including how to write effective subject lines, create engaging content, and measure the success of a campaign. Week 8: Video Marketing Pt 1- In this session, the student will learn how to create effective video content for digital marketing, including video editing, scriptwriting, and production. Week 9: Video Marketing Pt 2- In this session, the student will learn how to create effective Youtube channel for digital marketing. Week 10: Smart Phone Photograpghy Marketing - In this session, the student will learn how to create effective photos using a smartphone for digital marketing. Week 11: Video Marketing Pt 3- In this session, the student will learn how to upload and finish an effective Youtube channel for digital marketing. Week 12: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) - This session will cover the basics of SEO, including how to optimize a website for search engines and how to conduct keyword research. Week 13: Affiliate Marketing - This session will cover the principles of affiliate marketing, including how to identify and recruit affiliates, how to create effective affiliate campaigns, and how to measure the success of a campaign. Week 14: Influencer Marketing - In this session, the student will learn how to identify and recruit influencers, how to create effective influencer campaigns, and how to measure the success of a campaign. Week 15: Analytics - This session will cover the basics of web analytics, including how to set up and use Google Analytics to measure the success of digital marketing campaigns. Week 16: E-commerce Marketing - In this session, the student will learn how to create effective marketing campaigns for e-commerce businesses, including how to optimize product pages, create effective email campaigns, and measure the success of a campaign. The flexible schedule (Recorded Flex Class) allows your learners to watch the pre-recorded videos and do them at a time that is FUN for them! You can also spend extra time on the topics your child is most interested in. Since this is a flex class with no live meetings, students can log in at a convenient time to complete the week's lesson. We will be going through each week as a group and I will post the lesson weekly (depending on which day you started). The videos will contain the information required to give students a good understanding of each topic and each one will include homework for the students to undertake during the week, as part of a project. After watching each video and completing the homework assignments, students will be provided with feedback and the specific next steps on how to improve or adapt. Time frame for the Week: Mondays - The teacher will post the information needed for the week. Students can submit questions. Tuesdays - Wednesday - The teacher can answer any questions pertaining to the topic of the week. The students will need to complete any homework assignments and answer any questions in the discussion. Thursday - Students need to have all tasks completed and uploaded in the classroom for teacher feedback and discussion. Students will discuss it among themselves. Friday - The teacher will provide feedback to the class and individual students. Saturday - Sunday - The teacher will be available to answer any questions that the students may have for the week or the next week. Please note: This course requires no prior experience. *For parents/families who feel their child would benefit from this course, but their budget does not allow for it, I do offer a number of discounts for families of lower income. Parental Guidance
Because of YouTube privacy and age requirements, I am able to provide you with instructions to create the channel, however, I am not able to open a channel for learners. No adult other than a parent is lawfully able to open a YouTube account for any minor. It takes 5 minutes to open a channel. Instructions for opening a YouTube channel are included on the course.
No experience is required to take this class.
