Welcome! In this course, we’ll venture into a creative journey into the captivating world of digital art! **Course Overview:** Throughout this course, you will learn the fundamental techniques and principles of digital art. This course is suitable for beginners and intermediate artists who wish to explore the capabilities of Procreate and enhance their digital drawing skills. Through a series of interactive lessons, students will learn how to navigate the Procreate interface, utilize various tools and brushes, and develop their own unique artistic style. Learners may use a different digital art app other than Procreate, however, I may not be able to assist them with their app. Students may also choose to follow along on paper. There are no live meetings in this class. Content will be sent out through video format, allowing students to pause and work at their own pace. There are no grades or assignments in this class. Students are encouraged, but not required to submit a photo of their drawings - because I love seeing what you've made! If learners ever need feedback or advice, they can send in a photo of their current drawing, and I will assist them through chat, or through a video response. **Course Objectives:** - Learn essential drawing techniques such as sketching, shading, and blending using Procreate's versatile tools. - Explore advanced features of Procreate, including custom brush creation, layer adjustments, and text integration. - Develop creative problem-solving skills through hands-on projects and assignments. - Cultivate a personal artistic style by experimenting with different digital drawing techniques and tools. - Gain confidence in digital art creation and produce polished artworks suitable for digital platforms or printing. Course Requirements: Access to an iPad with the Procreate app installed. – (Learners may use a different digital art app other than Procreate, however, I may not be able to assist them with their app. Students may also choose to follow along on paper.) Apple Pencil or compatible stylus for precise drawing is recommended but finger made be used. Basic familiarity with digital devices.

In this class I recommend using the Procreate App, it is found in the Apple App Store. This app is for digital drawing.
Supply List
If Drawing Digitally: - An electronic Tablet (I use an Apple iPad) - A drawing app (I use and will be teaching how to use with Procreate) - A stylus or pen for electronic drawing If Drawing Traditionally - Paper - Erasable Pencil - (Optional) Black marker for outlines - Something to color with: Markers, Pencils, Crayons

I am currently a certified 120 hour TESOL teacher, I’ve taught over 2,200 classes to more than 800 students, in both online and in-person settings spanning nearly 4 years.

🎨 Completed two art portfolios in one year, totaling 48 pieces – a notable achievement in Texas.
🎨 Participated and triumphed in various local and state art competitions, including hosting an art show with an auction.
🎨 I own a small art business where I am selling in a few physical stores, + an online shop!

- Classes should last the amount of time stated. However, depending on the amount of students, in a rare situation class may last slightly longer or shorter.
- I will wait 10 minutes in a class for a student to show up, if the student is still not there after 10 minutes, I will leave the classroom.
- Sibling students may log into class on the same device! (I just ask that you please enroll both siblings as a student in the classroom)
