In this eight-week course we will read and discuss a high interest book series! Students will be introduced to book club discussions and generating questions. Perfect learners just starting book clubs, and busy learners!

Class experience

US Grade 2 - 4
Students will practice reading comprehension, and be introduced to a book club-type discussion boards. Students will learn to pick out meaningful parts of a text, as well as identify main characters and themes. They will learn to generate meaningful questions.
I hold a Master's of Education and am a certified teacher with over ten years experience in education. I am certified in K-6 elementary education, 7-12 social studies education, 7-12 language arts education, and K-12 Reading education. 
Homework Offered
Students will need to read each book before the module in which it is discussed. The students can read this independently, or they can listen to it be read aloud. The Diary of a Wimpy Kid books are very quick reads, each should take no more than a few hours. Students can jot down thoughts as they read on the provided paper.
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
I will actively monitor the discussion and build on student ideas.
Grades Offered
Learners should have access to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. Any handouts will be provided.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We will use the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series of books.
